First of all, if a person is using distcc the ebuild borks out, the solution? Commenting out the distcc "detection" part on the ebuild. And after all the painfull hours of building, I get.. esgrovas@tux bin $ ooffice Gnome session manager detected - session management disabled mv: cannot stat `/opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml': No such file or directory grep: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml.tmp: No such file or directory cat: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml.tmp: No such file or directory /usr/bin/ooffice: line 187: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml: Permission denied mv: cannot stat `/opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml': No such file or directory cat: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml.tmp: No such file or directory /usr/bin/ooffice: line 196: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Setup.xml: Permission denied /usr/bin/ooffice: line 205: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/soffice: No such file or directory /usr/bin/ooffice: line 205: exec: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/soffice: cannot execute: No such file or directory ls -hl total 4.0K lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 2003-03-25 01:44 setup -> program/setup lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 2003-03-25 01:44 spadmin -> program/spadmin drwxr-xr-x 10 root root 4.0K 2003-03-25 01:44 user
same problem here.
fixed by 'emerge unmerge openoffice' followed by 'emerge openoffice-bin'
That's no solution...
hrm, alright, let me take a look...
ooffice running openoffice.org setup... /usr/bin/ooffice: line 159: 2168 Aborted /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.2/program/setup -R:/etc/openoffice/autoresponse.conf 1>&/dev/null setup failed.. abort Not exactly the same problem, but the same Summary, so i've chosen to put it here. Any ideas?
I also compiled Openoffice 1.0.2 using kde 3.1.1, kernel gentoo-sources 2.4.20. and receive this "setup failed.. abort" message.
so far the problems i've seen have been LANG related for you guys, i'm REAL close to committing another ebuild to portage which should fix these language issues... seth
try with 1.0.3, these issues should be fixed
Openoffice 1.0.3 live and kicking
