Since there is a sticky in the Gentoo Forums (Installing Gentoo) concerning the bugginess of the 2007.0 GTK installer, it stands to reason that a warning concerning this would be included in the installation handbook in the "Using the GTK+ based Gentoo Linux Installer" found here -> http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/2007.0/handbook-x86.xml Reproducible: Always
There are bugs in every piece of software in the world. Users should be aware of that no matter what they're using. Adding a note that "there are bugs for some people, and there aren't for some" will not improve anything. For me it's WONTFIX.
