What's in ~/.xsession-errors?

Do you get any errors if you try to run nautilus from a terminal?
When I have a problem with the session I generaly either: - kill nautilus and restart it from command line if it doesn't come back by itself - remove ~/.gnome2/session, this files contains some data to restart applications like you left them but I hit cases where it is somehow corrupt and need to be removed/cleaned up for me to be able to login successfully again. Does any of these works for you ?
