this is obviously low priority. the situation is: - you're on a lan - you're the only one running gentoo - the other systems are often not used during extended periods of time. quite a few people seem to be in this sort of situation. how feasable would it be to get distcc and gcc on the livecd (in a ready to use state) so i can pop the cd in a remote machine, boot from it, and use the cpu for building packages on my system? I like this idea too :) It would make it alot easier to use other machines to help with compiling :)
