Good chance to stop installing to ant-core/lib with the bump.

And register as ant-task. There are no reverse deps to be affected.

In java-experimental, has some issues though.

  01 Jun 2007; Vlastimil Babka <caster@gentoo.org> +ant-ivy-1.4.1.ebuild:
Version bump, bug #180326. Registers as split-ant ant task instead of
symlink to ant-core/lib. New examples USE flag. Problems: javadoc target
fails, tests fail so it's restricted, webdav support removed because of
  missing deps.

Webdav support would need new package (jakarta-slide, upstream bundles 2.2pre1 snapshot) and bump commons-vfs with snapshot that would add webdav support (currently in sandbox).

I would appreciate the version bump A LOT, since the new ivy has some considerable improvements compared to 1.3.1.

Thanks.

I fixed the javadoc issue. Lots of failing tests because --with-dependencies was not used. Fixed that via EANT_GENTOO_CLASSPATH. But that still left a couple of failures that needs to be looked into.

I'd love to see this finally getting into the tree. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. Thanks,

Ole.

This software is no longer under jayasoft.org. The URLs and License has changed:
See: http://www.jaya.free.fr/

Also See:
Versions prior to 2.x were released by Jayasoft, and are not endorsed by the Apache Software Foundation.

http://ant.apache.org/ivy/history.html

The latest stable version of Ivy is 1.4.1, and is not an Apache incubating release, but a release done while Ivy was still hosted by jayasoft

Version-2.0.0_rc2 is out, and i'll create a new bug with Version bump

Updating URL and License in [java-experimental]

For information I am trying to do the bump to 2.0.0

The ant-ivy-2.0.0 ebuild is now in main tree, shall we close this bug (and remove the ebuild in the overlay) ?

Go for it, 2.0 is nice.

That is the standard practice so yes.

Since we still need some 1.x version for building ant-contrib, I could also move the overlay version to the tree.
