Version 0.97 of SCons has been released and is available for download
from the SCons web site.

Copying the ebuild for version 0.96.96 and updating the required python version to 2.2 and the has_version check was sufficient for a successful merge.

It works fine here under x86 with Python 2.5.

Current stable version in the tree (0.96.1) is quite outdated.

Thanks, now in CVS.

Note that only python 1.5.2 is required, 2.2 is optional.
has_version does not need to be updated since this fixes a problem that was only present in some old SCons ebuilds.
