Comment 2 Steven Lynn Jean 2007-05-28 22:09:35 UTC
Error message:"kde-base/libkcal-3.5.5-r1 failed"

Emerge Info:" Portage 2.1.2.7 (default-linux/x86/2007.0, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.5-r0, 2.6.20-gentoo-r8, i686)

Comment 3 Wulf Krueger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-28 22:37:18 UTC
Steven, I'm afraid that isn't exactly the error message. Please do the following:

1. Set PORT_LOGDIR=/var/log/portage in /etc/make.conf (nano /etc/make.conf)
2. mkdir -p /var/log/portage
3. recompile libkcal
4. attach the log in /var/log/portage/ to this bug
5. supply the *complete* output of the command "emerge --info"
Comment 4 Steven Lynn Jean 2007-05-29 00:26:57 UTC
Alright, will do. Sorry about the misunderstanding and thanks for you patience with a gentoo newcomer.

portage --info
Comment 7 Wulf Krueger (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-29 01:59:55 UTC
Thanks! That's what we need. :-)

Please attach one more file which I unfortunately forgot about initially:

/var/tmp/portage/kde-base/libkcal-3.5.5-r1/work/libkcal-3.5.5/config.log

(If it doesn't exist anymore, just re-compile libkcal again and it will be there.)

Please re-emerge kdelibs. That should fix your problem.
