Hi Skander, Thanks for your report and we will have a look at it. There's also a new bugfix release that resolves "random crash" issues which might be what you're seeing in your manual install. Best, Markus
Hi, Further investigation suggests that the rkward backend for R is not installed, using the ebuild. Manually running cd (path to rkward-sources)/rkward/rbackend/rpackages/ /usr/lib/R/bin/R CMD INSTALL -l /usr/lib/R/library rkward installs the missing backend, so I can run (and later crash) rkward. The 'make install' from manual installation does some temp foo while executing the above commands, don't know if it is important, it worked without on my machine. The bugfix version (0.4.7a) does not help regarding my crash, I'll try to report that issue upstream though.
I just commited in cvs version 0.4.7a and a small fix that should take care of the problem. Re-open if you still experience it. Thanks.
