Now there is no unresolved bugs on apcupsd-3.12.4. Current stable apcupsd-3.10 is unusable on systems with /usr on separate volume.

Portage 2.1.2.7 (default-linux/amd64/2007.0, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.5-r2, 2.6.20-gentoo-r8 x86_64)

This is *not* fixed in any version, see Bug 65211. So, if it's your only reason for stabilization, no point in doing that.

3.12.4 works on my system with separated /usr. It correctly turns off UPS power after shutdown procedure.
