Just noticed the current packages in Portage are still 1.9.1, while 1.10.0 was released back in March... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Decide to try out the current Crossfire 2.Check Portage for available versions 3.Notice more recent version at http://crossfire.real-time.com 4.Whine about it in a "bug" report Actual Results: Portage: crossfire-client v1.9.1, crossfire-server v1.9.1 crossfire.real-time.com: v1.10.0 Whining in bug report appears to work normally... Expected Results: "emerge crossfire server" on my server installs version 1.10.0. "emerge crossfire-client" on my laptop installs client version 1.10.0. Then I play with it until I get bored. <whine>I don't WANNA install it by hand</whine>
I'm not sure if you still are waiting on this. I think you can take the current ebuild and just rename it to crossfire-server-1.10.0.ebuild Or if you'd like to help me test an ebuild that provides an IPL startup script and makes the server run as a non-root ID, you can look at bug 131288 at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131288.
I upgraded both client/server to the 1.10 version. Thanks for report
