Please stabilize www-apache/mod_cband-0.9.7.5 in portage since 19 Nov 2006 no open bugs
Has anyone a kinda "test" or steps for the arch devs/AT's for this package to assert if it's ready for stable ?
Set a limit to something small (like 1, 2 KB/s) and check if it works (try to download a file from http://localhost/).
Steps to test: 1. merge mod_cband ;) 2. add -D CBAND to /etc/conf.d/apache2 3. in /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/00_default_vhost.conf add: CBandSpeed 100kB 10 5 4. *BE SURE THAT THERE IS ServerName DIRECTIVE FOR THAT VHOST*: ServerName localhost 5. Check http://localhost/cband-status/ 6. Create a test file: dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/www/localhost/htdocs/big-file bs=1M count=16 7. Try to download http://localhost/big-file - it should go slow (around 100kbs), also check /cband-status/ whenever it shows that the bandwidth is used.
(In reply to comment #3) > Steps to test: That is a great help. Thanks and x86 stable.
====amd64==== merges fine. No collisions. Works great with the tests provided(thanks!).
