I noticed that if I try to emerge php using the hardened/x86/2.6 profile I get the "informix" use flag masked, instead if I use the hardened/x86 profile the "informix" use flag is not masked: this is nonsense! I suggest to merge the hardened/x86/use.mask contents to hardened/x86/2.6/use.mask.
As a side note, ss a workaround I created /etc/portage/profile/use.mask and put "-informix" in this file.

Synced the use.mask, as merging those two on the current state of the profile isn't that easy.
