Description Alex Barker 2007-05-23 16:43:23 UTC
When trying to extract archives with a large number of files by clicking the extract button and selecting selected files only and open directory after extraction we get the cute error "Could not start a subprocess." Nothing is dumped on the cli. If i select all files not selected files it works fine. If i try to drag and drop files its also comes up with the same error message. This has been an issue for ever, and probably due to the lack of quality from the development team but i thought i would report the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open archive with large number of files
2. Click extract icon.
3. select "Selected files only"
4. check "Open destination folder after extraction"
5. Enjoy useless error message.

1. Open archive with large number of files.
2. Select a lot (all) of the files.
3. Attempt to drag files to a location.
4. Enjoy same cute error.

Actual Results:
"Could not start a subprocess." Error Dialog Box

Expected Results:
tar xzvf archive.tar.gz -C /some/location

This was most recently observed with a zip archive however I recall the same issue with almost any format.
