New full mirror server (sources & portage) in Belgium Global contact: rsync@skynet.be Private contact: Cedric Gavage <cedric.gavage@skybel.net>
Thanks for supporting Gentoo linux! I have added the portage rsync mirror to our access list for rsync1.us.gentoo.org. please update your cron job to point to that server. We'll monitor it for a couple of days to make sure things are working OK and then add it to the rotation. As for the distfile mirror, is rsync the only protocol that is available or is ftp and/or http supported as well? --kurt

performed full test sync successfully. added server to the rsync.europe.gentoo.org and rsync.be.gentoo.org rotations. Will be added to main rotation once #17216 is resolved. This server is now rsync2.be.gentoo.org. also added distfile mirror information to our list of mirrors: http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/mirrors.xml Thanks for supporting Gentoo Linux.
I almost forgot to add -- we have a private distfile mirror set up for our mirrors to sync against. I will send instructions to you on how to use this mirror -- if you can switch over to using that mirror to sync against, you'll get guaranteed access and better transfer rates during periods of high load.
Hi, We have put a new server in production... gentoo belgian mirror is moved to this server... We updated the ip for ftp.gentoo.skynet.be & rsync.gentoo.skynet.be. Could you update your round robin dns entries (rsync.gentoo.org and rsync.be.gentoo.org) and rsync2.be.gentoo.org? Old ip was 195.238.1.6, New ip is 195.238.1.14 Thanks
Cedric, Are you syncing with rsync1.us again? Sorry if you've already told me and I deleted the message. Thanks.
Added back to the .be rotation. Could you add rsync2.be to the motd? Cedric Gavage <cedric.gavage@skybel.net> wrote: >Peter Penkala wrote: >> You should have access to rsync1.us. rsync2.be added in the motd... Could you add back the rsync2.be.gentoo.org in the rsync.gentoo.org rotation?
