Hi, here is an ebuild for the demo of Penumbra: Overture, a first-person adventure game with graphics that look like Doom 3.
Created attachment 119758 [details] penumbra-overture-demo-1.0.1.ebuild
I got the game to start on amd64, but it crashed soon after. the following link suggests that penumbra expects gcc 4.2 libs. http://happypenguin.org/show?Penumbra%3A%20Overture%20%20Episode%201#comments
Paul can you make an ebuild for the full version game? I have just purchased the full version of penumbra-overture :D. Let me know if you need any info!

Just look at the website: http://www.penumbra-overture.com/buy.php Or their forums: http://frictionalgames.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1101 Or my post: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-561338-highlight-.html

For starters, the full game uses the nix installer (looks very polished) and installs by default in the /home/$username/PenumbraEp1 folder
I see you've added a ~amd64 flag. I'm on amd64 and can't get it working. has anyone got this working? on another note... I want the box but its windows only :-( (and no patch...)
The ebuild for the registered version is in bug #179733. Tech support: http://frictionalgames.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=24

If anyone has the game crash right after the initial loading screen, its because of a missing file that frictional forgot to add to the install. they've fixed the issue, but not all mirrors have updated yet (specifically, filefront.com). see http://frictionalgames.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1115&pid=9039&#pid9039 and http://frictionalgames.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1080 for details. also, 3ddownloads.com's copy seems to have issues, as two downloads resulted in the same erroneous checksum.
