Kernel config was the same as for the gentoo-sources-2.6.19-r5 where bestcrypt is working like a charm.

So I think it's a bestcrypt issue.

what was occurring when the panic occurred?

I've compiled bestcrypt modules for the 2.6.20-gentoo-r8 kernel, after that I rebooted the system and that panic appeared when system was starting.

On your last good known configuration was it the same version of bestcrypt that you have now? If it is, it might be a kernel regression issue.

Yes, the version of the bestcrypt is the same.

It works good with gentoo-sources <= 2.6.19-r5

Can you please try the latest one from portage? (_p13)

Sorry for late answer. It's working like a charm with bestrypt-1.6-p13.
