Description Sylvain Raybaud 2007-05-18 11:53:58 UTC
sometimes all entries corresponding to music files in a directory are duplicated in amarok collection. For example, if my music directory looks like this :

/music/artist_1/album_11
                album_12
       artist_2/album_21
                album_22

all files in /music/artist_1/album_11 and /music/artist_2/album_22 might appear two times in the collection, while files in the other directories appear just a single time.

The extra entries disappear after I rebuild the collection. Since I've got a big music collection I'm not sure *all* duplicated entries have disappeared, I cannot check them all.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:

I'm using amarok 1.4.5-r1, but the problem existed with prior versions.
I haven't tested other architectures.

Please report this on http://bugs.kde.org/ (and then set the URL of this bug to point to the other one); when a solution is found, reopen this bug so that the fix can be backported.
