For subsystems like sftp, the path in /etc/ssh/sshd_config is set to

Subsystem      sftp    /usr/lib64/misc/sftp-server

on amd64 systems and

Subsystem      sftp    /usr/lib/misc/sftp-server

on i686 systems. This makes config files architecture dependent without need since on amd64 /usr/lib symlinks to /usr/lib64 and thus /usr/lib/misc/... would work there too.
