patch doesnt apply cleanly and i dont feel like fixing it ;)

There a copy of a gcc-4.2.0 ebuild handy so I can see how much mangling the patch needs?  I might have to contact the patch author if it's too out of sync.

it's almost done, but not quite ... just grab the vanilla gcc-4.2.0 tarball as none of the patches should conflict with this one

also, 91_all_mips-ip28_cache_barriers-v4.patch needs review/update as well

The march=r10000 patch is done, just have to finish the gcc cache barriers patch.

eh, didn't "close", just marked it as upstream, of which you are as far as the gcc ebuild is concerned
