Description Nils Larsson 2007-05-17 15:15:23 UTC
When emerging mDNSResponder portage reported several QA Notices. This package got pulled in when emerging kdelibs-3.5.6-r7 and I've not seen anything broken.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge =net-misc/mDNSResponder-98

Actual Results:
 * QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack a SONAME
 *  /tmp/portage/portage/net-misc/mDNSResponder-98/image/lib/libnss_mdns-0.2.so

 * QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack NEEDED entries
 *  /tmp/portage/portage/net-misc/mDNSResponder-98/image/lib/libnss_mdns-0.2.so

 * QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack a SONAME
 *  /tmp/portage/portage/net-misc/mDNSResponder-98/image/usr/lib/libdns_sd.so.1

 * QA Notice: The following shared libraries lack NEEDED entries
 *  /tmp/portage/portage/net-misc/mDNSResponder-98/image/usr/lib/libdns_sd.so.1

 * QA Notice: Found an absolute symlink in a library directory:
 *            lib/libnss_mdns.so.2 -> /tmp/portage/portage/net-misc/mDNSResponder-98/image///lib/libnss_mdns-0.2.so
 * It should be a relative symlink if in the same directory
 * or a linker script if it crosses the /usr boundary.

Expected Results:
Eventless install?
