Description manphiz 2007-05-16 13:58:24 UTC
New version of wqy-bitmapfont 8.1 available upstream. Please update if applicable.

Note: Please DO NOT gzip these fonts, which will dramatically compromise the efficiency in general use.

the 'marked as a duplicate' thing comes really fast.lol.

it seems this bug report is several weeks old......how can i didn't see it by searching and why wqy-bitmapfont is not updated month later after this bug is reported?

Still not fixed ??

Are there any maintainers for this package?
Comment 6 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-08-07 15:13:00 UTC
sorry, i bumped this about a week ago but didn't see this bug.

i agree, we shouldn't be compressing CJK bitmaps, at least until firefox grows enough brains to actually cache them instead of uncompressing them on every page load.

fixed. thanks william.
