Afterglow is a collection of Perl scripts for generating nice looking link graphs from various network traffic logs. It uses graphviz for the graphical output. Current applications include: email logs, firewall Logs, firewall rulesets, web logs and IDS logs. 1. Proposed category: net-analyzer/afterglow. 2. I had to make some trivial patches to some of the scripts, since the current official tree lacks the original Perl::CSV module. I was informed on #gentoo-perl at freenode that while this module could be imported, it would perhaps be unnecessary for (a) an ebuild residing at the bugzilla (b) that works well by changing references to Perl::CSV_XS.

There is another Perl module causing trouble; see bug #178714. Modifications to the submitted ebuild follows as soon as the dependency is fulfilled.

Created attachment 145415 [details] afterglow-1.5.9.ebuild I made this ebuild using the ideas of the original author for the latest in the 1.x series of afterglow. Should I submit to Gentoo Overlays? Basically just trying to help out anyone else interested in afterglow (e.g., for use with tenshi) as on http://dev.inversepath.com/trac/tenshi/wiki/FAQ

(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
