Description Andrew John Hughes 2007-05-15 18:16:08 UTC
I've created a JDK environment using cacao as VM and ecj to build (itself running on cacao). Would be nice to see this go into mainstream, but need pointers on how to do this... ;)
Comment 1 Vlastimil Babka (Caster) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-15 19:43:46 UTC
Well if it can't even compile ant-core, it's practically unusable :)
Comment 2 Andrew John Hughes 2007-10-15 08:54:13 UTC
Current ant-core seems to work with same solution.
Comment 3 James Le Cuirot gentoo-dev 2016-06-23 21:47:45 UTC
As agreed with Andrew, Cacao is being removed from the main tree, at least for now. I'm never going to support it as a system VM but I don't mind it including a java-config VM file so I'll keep the one in java-overlay.
