Description Johannes Krude 2007-05-13 13:39:09 UTC
If kdepim-3.5.6 is installed, which is usualy the case if you install kde-3.5.6, there is no possiblity to use kpilot.
Prior to kdepim-3.5.6 (I don't know which version), kpilot was part of kdepim, but it's not anymore.
You can't install kpilot because it's blocked by kdepim.
I think kpilot is an essential tool for kde users who own a palm, so it should be possible to use kpilot and kdepim, either by making kpilot part of kdepim again, or making kdepim not blocking kpilot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. $ emerge =kdepim-3.5.6-r3
2. $ kpilot
3. $ emerge -p kpilot

Actual Results:
$ emerge =kdepim-3.5.6-r3
[...]
$ kpilot
bash: kpilot: command not found
$ emerge -p kpilot

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

The couple of needed new dependencies aside, KPilot 3.5.6 is pretty broken (speak: doesn't even build) and will stay hard masked. Your choices are to install kdepim-meta-3.5.6 (with KPilot 3.5.5) or to accept that there is no kpilot for you.
