Robin, you gave it the original sparc keywords, unless you can test we can't since we've got no access to any machine that uses the 3270 protocol.
gustavoz/sparc: digging in my email, I found that was at user request, ~4 years ago, that I did the original push to stable for sparc when I did x86: http://viewcvs.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/net-misc/suite3270/suite3270-3.2.20.ebuild?r1=1.2&r2=1.3 Could you just tell me if the package builds on sparc please? Beyond that, the user "jieryn" has access to actual machines that use the protocol.
There is a publicly facing IBM z/OS server available to connect free of charge (a little setup is required though).
