Description Joseph Mulloy 2007-05-11 20:32:38 UTC
I have attached screenshots that demonstrate the issue. I don't know what changed between r7 and r8 but it messed up font rendering in KDE. All of the fonts ended up FAT. Playing around with the font configuration helped a bit but the fonts didn't look right.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.6-r8
2. login after the update
3. see fat fonts

KDE with kdelibs-3.5.6-r7 (i.e. normal)

Screenshot of how KDE looked before update. This is how I like it to look. This is after reverting so the problem lies in r8.

Not sure what happened but I re installed r8 after the downgrade to r7 and it seems to work.
