Hello,

Previous has a security issue (bug#170874).

This version also remove X dependencies.

Thanks!
Comment 1 Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-09 13:27:46 UTC
sparc stable.
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-10 21:34:44 UTC
With FEATURES=test and with app-crypt/pinentry installed, the test suite hung at a certain point with a process named "pinentry" consuming CPU time. With app-crypt/pinentry unmerged, this test was apparently skipped and all others passed.

Stable for HPPA.
Comment 3 Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-10 21:37:27 UTC
jer: Which version of pinentry did you have?
Comment 4 Sander Knopper 2007-05-11 14:47:38 UTC
on x86:

app-crypt/gnupg-1.4.7-r1 USE="bzip2 curl nls readline zlib -bindist -ecc -idea -ldap (-selinux) -smartcard -static -usb (-X%*)"

Compiles clean, passes all tests and collision test.
Kopete is still running fine with this version of gnupg.
Comment 5 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-11 16:34:30 UTC
ia64 + x86 stable
Comment 6 N. Dan Smith 2007-05-11 20:05:19 UTC
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywaWz56Ha4c is stable on ppc

- Emerges cleanly with USE="bzip2 curl ecc idea smartcard static usb"
- No collisions
- Works

Compiles clean. passes tests and no collision on AMD64.
Kopete still works so i'd say it works and it is save to mark this stable on AMD64.

Readding jer, so he can actually answer that question.

Already has. I could not find how during the tests the pinentry process is called.

I already did, in private. There's just the one version of pinentry in the tree anyway, and I didn't see this behaviour in a chroot with glibc-2.5 (see also bug #168131).
