Using the 2007.0 AMD64 livecd I wanted to change the default hard disk layout. Specifically I wanted to set the boot disk to ext3 instead of ext2. I first deleted the partition and then created it again with ext3. Clicking next is OK, but the text field describing the disk's properties wrongfully says ext2 and not ext3 as I requested. Reproducible: Always
Eh, I guess I never anticipated someone further modifying the partition layout after using the Recommended Layout function. When you use the recommended layout, it automatically fills in the local mounts information for the next screen, but it doesn't change it for manual changes. The "easy" fix is to just wipe the local mounts stuff if you make any manual changes. Another option is to automatically proceed to the next screen after using the recommended function, but that has its own drawbacks.
Another easy fix is to disallow change when using the Recommended Layout function. I am not saying it is a problem, but I just noticed it and think that is should be corrected.

Mr. Robbins has also noted this non-feature in his review: http://www.funtoo.org/drobbins/blog/2007/05/gentoo-linux-20070-review-first.html Point nr. 4.
We've already established that it's a bug (or rather a lack of a feature), so quit rubbing it in :P
The installer is deprecated.
