I just wanted to install OpenOffice but unfortunately it wants to install virtual/jdk-1.5.0 and virtual/jre-1.5.0 and their dependencies. Since I've already installed virtual/jdk-1.6.0 and virtual/jre-1.6.0 and their dependencies I don't want to install an older Java version again. And upstream reports as system requirements: "For full functionality, jdk/jre 1.4.0_02 or newer or jdk/jre 1.4.1_01 or newer is required" (http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sys_reqs_20.html) So it would be great if the version related restrictions would be removed and replaced by just virtual/jdk and virtual/jre without the verion numbers or at least >=virtual/jdk-1.4.0 and >=virtual/jre-1.4.0. This would also prevent troubles after the next Java updates. It's pretty important because OpenOffice is one of the most important packages.
And amd64 depends on 1.4; kindly note that it won't compile w/ 1.6.
