ppc stable
Comment 2 Tobias Heinlein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-06 11:55:24 UTC
emerges and works fine on amd64. Had to unmask dev-perl/PortageXS-0.02.06 since it's a dependency.

x86 also needs dev-perl/PortageXS-0.02.06 stable.

dev-perl/PortageXS-0.02.06 USE="-minimal"
1. emerges on x86
2. passes test suite
3. passes collision test

app-portage/autounmask-0.15
1. emerges on x86
2. passes collision test
3. works

Comment 4 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-06 18:09:26 UTC
This has not been in Portage for 30 days....any reasons for this premature stabilisation? 0.15 hit the tree on April 28th.
Comment 5 Christian Hartmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-06 20:09:52 UTC
Wondering where you got that '30 days' rule from.

http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=3&chap=1#doc_chap4 says:

"When a package version has proved stable for sufficient time and the Gentoo maintainer of the package is confident that the upgrade will not break a regular Gentoo user's machine, then it can be moved from ~ARCH to ARCH. An indication of the package's stability would be no verified or unresolved bug report for a month after the version's introduction."

Of course it's up to the arch teams to fulfill the stabilisation request..

> Wondering where you got that '30 days' rule from.

http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/tests/index.xml?part=1&chap=2 says:

"If it has been in testing for more than 30 days, and has not had an open bug in the last 30 days, you need to test it in a thorough and systematic manner." or "Assuming it meets all the criteria (tested for 30+ days, no bugs in the last 30 days, AT tested) [..]" ;)
Comment 7 Christian Hartmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-07 08:05:03 UTC
What I said: It's up to the arch teams to fulfill the request. There is just no general 30-days-rule that I know of. (Not speaking of policies of the archteams.)

Anyways. If you don't feel comfortable with fulfilling the request just wait or remove yourself from the bug and I'll poke you later.
Comment 8 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-07 14:51:45 UTC
ia64 + x86 stable
Comment 9 Steve Dibb (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-16 02:30:49 UTC
amd64 done
Comment 10 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-21 12:26:55 UTC
Sparc stable (and also PortageXS-0.02.07 is stable instead of 0.02.06).
Comment 11 Christian Hartmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-23 18:53:53 UTC
All done.
