Description Tim Haughton 2003-03-17 13:53:57 UTC
When performing a "emerge rsync", I feel that the output is far too verbose to
be of any use. Page after page of text flies by, and is only really of any use
if there's a problem.

Why not have a verbosity flag that can be set at the command line, or maybe in a
config file. A nice discrete summary of what's going on should suffice for most
users.

It doesn't hurt anything and as noted in the rsync man page:
gives you something to look at.
