I would maintain this ebuild. Who do I tell?
What should I do to be the maintainer of this package?
I'm not gentoo developer (yet).

Now it respects your cflags and does not force -O2 optimization

It has been accepted in sunrise overlay.
Go and get it from the sunrise overlay ;-)
