Description Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-01 17:51:35 UTC
Hello.

\subj.

Changes to pptpd since 1.3.3 are:
- fix two release critical packet reordering bugs [Oester]
- accept both types of domain delimiter [Cameron]
- deprecate PPP_WAIT workaround in favour of turning off pty echo [Brady]

The things I should note that this release contains not all fixes that are currently accepted in CVS. Take a look at this thread:

It looks OK to me, but I have a question. Why don't you bump it yourself?

Obviously you spent time on this, you probably are using this package, net-dialup/pptpd doesn't have a maintainer... What are you waiting for? ;)
Comment 5 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-02 05:59:42 UTC
Yes. I'm using this package in production. But I'm not a part of net-dialup herd so I'm not touching your packages without permission. I will bump this package later today.

But is it Ok to become part of herd and add myself into herds.xml? More specifically I'm interested in pptpd/ppp and later in accel-pptp.
Comment 6 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-02 06:19:59 UTC
you're welcome!

net-dialup/ppp is mine. If you wanna touch it besides usual bumping or other trivial things, I would wanna know first.

accel-pptp dev needs to fix some stuff before his package will be added to the tree (see bug 154381).
Comment 7 Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-03 13:09:33 UTC
Alin, I saw that bug and as soon as maintainer fixes remaining issue, I'll give pptp-accel a try in production and then decide to put or not to put it in the tree. ppp, of course, is yours while you are listed as maintainer ;P

pptpd-1.3.4 is in the tree.
