New version of pylons, 0.9.5, released nineteen days ago, but there is still no corresponding ebuild for it. Can someone fix this? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
I created an ebuild for pylons-0.9.5. I will attach it and other ebuilds for the dependencies soon.

Created attachment 118426 [details] pastedeploy-1.3.ebuild
Created attachment 118428 [details] pastescript-1.3.4.ebuild
Ok, that's all
And in which way do they differ from the ones in in tree already? Especially pylons & paste* since the others aren't in the tree (yet).
pylons-0.9.5 has different dependencies (some new, some version changed) compared to pylons-0.9.4.1. >=paste*-1.3 need not to remove some lines in setup.py at unpack stage anymore, i think. I can upload patches for these ebuilds if they are needed.
pylons-0.9.5.ebuild does not build with docs useflag enabled. * Generating docs as requested... running pudge error: error in setup.cfg: command 'pudge' has no such option 'highlighter' Other than that, it seems fine.
Created attachment 130395 [details] pylons-0.9.5.ebuild (updated dependencies) Pylons needs a version of dev-python/setuptools >=0.6_rc5.
Please add pylons Pylons 0.9.6.1 and add ~sparc keyword(i am test work good).
Created attachment 133938 [details, diff] pylons-0.9.6.1.ebuild.patch The patch to the in-portage pylons-0.9.4.1-r1.ebulid for pylons-0.9.6.1
Created attachment 133940 [details, diff] webhelpers-0.3.2.ebuild.patch This is a patch to the in-portage webhelpers-0.3.ebuild for webhelpers-0.3.2, on which pylons-0.9.6.1 depends.
Created attachment 133941 [details] dev-python/decorator-2.2.0.ebuild This is the ebuild for dev-python/decorator-2.2.0, on which pylons-0.9.6.1 depends.
Created attachment 133943 [details] dev-python/mako-0.1.9.ebuild This is the ebuild for dev-python/mako-0.1.9.ebuild, on which pylons-0.9.6.1 depends.
Created attachment 133945 [details, diff] pylons-0.9.6.1.ebuild.patch Ooops, missed an '=' in dependency of buildutils
Well, I've uploaded ebuilds & patches for pylons-0.9.6.1 and its dependencies. If the package is already in portage, I upload the patch to the existing one, otherwise the ebuild itself. Beside those, there are some ebuilds need to bump up version without change the content: dev-python/routes-1.7 dev-python/beaker-0.8 dev-python/paste-1.5 dev-python/pastedeploy-1.3.1 dev-python/pastescript-1.3.6
Created attachment 134013 [details, diff] dev-python/pastedeploy-1.3.1.ebuild.patch If you emerge pastedeploy-1.3.1 with useflag "doc", you may meet the "ACCESS VIOLATED" error. Apply this patch or use the following command to fix it. # FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge =dev-python/pastedeploy-1.3.1 P.S. I tried to find out why generating documentations needs to access /root/.gconf* files, but failed. Maybe some more skillful people can help?
Please upgrade the bug to major, blocker or critical, since from what I understand the last beaker update (0.9.4) left pylons-0.9.4.1-r1 defunct: File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/pylons/wsgiapp.py", line 248, in __init__ from beaker.session import SessionMiddleware ImportError: cannot import name SessionMiddleware Installing pylons-0.9.6.1 fixed this and everything is working smooth again.
no updates on this one...? i can confirm Emil's latest comment is probably correct due to SessionMiddleware moving from beaker.session to beaker.middleware around 0.8~ apparently (havent tested but did some reading and grep'ing to confirm :)) python team a little swamped...? :)
+ 04 Jan 2009; Patrick Lauer <patrick@gentoo.org> +pylons-0.9.6.2.ebuild: + Bump to 0.9.6.2, fixes bug #176640 Will have a look at the deps now :)
all there.
