Not surprising as it doesn't depend on a jdk.

Scrap that one. Was recently updated it seems.
Comment 3 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-30 13:31:15 UTC
This is caused by calling java-pkg_javac-args when the java use flag is off. JAVACFLAGS is exported by our eclasses so with recent Portage you are safe.
Comment 4 diabelx 2007-04-30 14:14:40 UTC
Try this:
emerge sync
next:
emerge /usr/portage/net-misc/mDNSResponder/mDNSResponder-107.1.ebuild
after compiled
emerge -Du world to update yout mDNSResponder to mDNSResponder-107.6-r4

What do you understand by recent, Petteri? Look at the Portage version Marijn is using.

Java team workload I'd say.

I think it's safe with any portage since we set that variable in each pre-hook.

OK so I took it as permission to touch and fixed it (after all it was nelchael's fault according to ChangeLog :) Also added missing java-pkg-opt-2_pkg_setup for future safeness, and lowered jdk/jre dep to 1.4 because 1.5 didn't seem needed to compile.
