turn down your compiler flags and try again please

Comment 3 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-19 17:56:29 UTC
seems like problems with glibc-2.3.2
Comment 4 Veiko Kukk 2003-03-20 04:05:09 UTC
I found out that problem was related to sed-4.0.5. I emerged supersed, unmerged sed-4.0.5. Then made symlink ln -s /bin/ssed /usr/bin/sed and it compiled normally. I have had SEVERAL PROBLEMS with sed-4.0.5. I guess all my other reported building errors are caused by sed-4.0.5. I dont understand why its marked stable at all?
Comment 5 Brandon Low (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-25 01:09:41 UTC
Please test with sed-4.0.6, the reason that 4.0.5 was stable is that it worked for many people, for that matter the code is about 95-98% the same as that supersed version that you merged...
Comment 6 Brandon Low (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-04-17 22:45:09 UTC
Looks like these kinds of things are fixed in >=sed-4.0.6 if you still have problems reopen the bug.
Comment 7 Veiko Kukk 2003-04-18 19:07:04 UTC
with sed-4.0.7 it compiles normally.
