Description Ping Hwang 2007-04-30 08:11:12 UTC
You can install these two programs without Gentoo's warnings. However,it is not a serious problem cause hardly anybody will install them together as me.

Reproducible: Always

Anyone to stick the blocker there?
Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-04 20:12:48 UTC
???
Comment 3 Justin Bronder (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-06 00:32:12 UTC
I've added a blocker to torque-2.2.1-r2, but it looks like x11-misc/qterm only installs one binary. Could we instead just rename the qterm binary in that package to qterminal or something similar?
Comment 4 Justin Bronder (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-06 00:44:39 UTC
...and at the advice of others, I reverted that change in hopes we can rename qterm.
Comment 5 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-24 00:04:53 UTC
cjk: what do you want to do with qterm here? Is it worth keeping, do you want to rename the binary, or should we throw the blocker back in there?
Comment 6 MATSUU Takuto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-24 03:24:40 UTC
sorry for delay
0.4.0-r1 in cvs. /usr/bin/qterm is renamed to /usr/bin/QTerm.
Comment 7 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-30 19:55:21 UTC
matsuu: Could you please put in an einfo in the new ebuild stating that the executable was renamed? Just so we can reduce any possible confusion when users upgrade.

jsbronder: Could you put the blocker back (but only for <x11-misc/qterm-0.4.0-r1) so that until everyone upgrades they are safe?

After those two things are addressed, we can close this and no one should have any more problems (besides not being able to have the two apps installed at the same time until the new qterm goes stable)

jsbronder: thanks.

cjk/matsuu: Any idea when we can expect an update?

Thanks
