I cannot test this package on ia64, but I read in http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175714#c1 that libnl doesn't compile on this arch. I have seen that fedora is able to compile it with fedora's patches, that can be taken from src.rpm:
ftp://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/source/SRPMS/libnl-1.0-0.10.pre5.4.src.rpm

Okay, thanks Pacho.

With the patch i'm attaching it compiles on ia64, dunno about amd64. If i don't apply the ${PN}-1.0_pre6-amd64-typedef.diff patch, it compiles too without applying the patch i attach.

Yes, but it doesn't compile on amd64. 

New patch works in both arches :-)

Feel free to apply the patch if it works for your arches. I can only test it on x86.
