Description Damian Kaczmarek 2007-04-27 17:28:26 UTC
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.1/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lintl
The following error is caused by a missing dependency to gettext-0.16. When upgraded gettext manually, the problem disappeared.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start installation from stage3-2006.1
2.Upgrade to the 2007.0 profile.
3.Upgrade binutils, try to upgrade glibc - timezone-data-2007 will be a dependency ans should fail.

Expected Results:
Emerge ...

no real error information here ... -lintl should only be required when doing USE=nls and on BSD systems
