After emerging DirectFB-0.9.17 portage suggests to install DirectFB-0.9.16 and after 
having done this it suggests to install DirectFB-0.9.17 again and so on... 
 
This is because I have DirectFB-extra emerged and its ebuild has the following line: 
 
DEPEND="=dev-libs/DirectFB-${PV}* 
 
So DirectFB-0.9.16 is a dependency of DirectFB-extra-0.9.16, which is currently not 
available in version 0.9.17. Therfore I suggest to change the mentioned line to 
 
DEPEND=">=dev-libs/DirectFB-${PV}* 
 
to make DirectFB-extra work with newer versions of DirectFB!

Sorry if that sounds impudent, but it is only one single sign that has to be added to the ebuild...

fixed in portage, sorry for the delay.
