I would like to request that tivodecode be added to portage.  

Someone on the forums has already created the ebuild.  It simply needs to be added to Portage.  See http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-522284-highlight-tivodecode.html

This is the sample ebuild provided on the forums.  I can confirm that it works on amd64.

No new release since August 2007, which considering this software interfaces with proprietary technology suggests it may in fact not work any more. Is there anyone still interested in becoming a (normal or proxied) maintainer of this package so that it can be added the tree, if it still works of course? If not, this bug will be closed as WONTFIX in 30 days.
