I just wanted to localize email from asterisk voicemail. Patch follows.
Created attachment 117028 [details, diff] asterisk_voicemail_localize.patch
I forgot to explain that it is to have date field localized.
Is this accepted upstream? Also you're just hardcoding the locale, not everyone lives in the US.
No, the locale is hardcoded just for date mail. My locale is fr_FR, I'm not in a US country, and the patch works fine for me. In the voicemail email, you have 2 dates, one in the header (which should stay in english) and one in the mail (which is localized with the patch). Sorry for my bad english, I hope you will understand me.
Reassigning back to herd since Stefan has been retired as a Gentoo Developer (#27693).
Reassigning to chainsaw as he is now the asterisk maintainer.
I believe this feature was merged into either 1.2 or 1.4; at any rate development on the 1.2 branch has now ceased. If 1.6.0.9 does not localise voicemail appropriately yet, please consider filing a bug upstream (bugs.digium.com). Please note that I am not prepared to carry features in Gentoo that are not present upstream.
