Bug 17548 – Gentoo 1.4_rc3 livecd doesn't only boots with "noscsi" and "nonet" on Toshiba Sattelite 3000-514

Booting with no options ends at:
---Scanning for advansys    [System hangs]

booting with "noscsi" ends gives out error:
... 8139cp.o init_module: no such device

and ends at:
* Autodedect Network modules
* Scanning for de4x5         [System hangs]

typing "insmod 8139.o" after boot also produces the above error code

All system components tested under Windows - working just fine 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot from cd
2. enter no boot options
3. see what happens ;)

Actual Results:  
System freezes - hard reset neccessary


hard to do without any net connection...

forgot to mention that the 1.3 livecd worked just fine.

two system details of the toshiba sattelite 3000-514:

Intel 82801 CAM Ultra ATA storage-Controller248A
Realtek RTL8139-Family-PCI Fast Ehternet-NIC

mabe it helps
