Although I couldnt find another one, given that on the first page of the currently configured website it says "The latest version of ppp is version 2.4.3, released on 14 November 2004." it might have moved or maybe is just gone for good?

I noticed ftp://ftp.samba.org/pub/ppp/ no longer exists, but I'll wait a couple of months before setting the SRC_URI to Gentoo mirrors. 
Maybe they will restore it.

Okay, so resolution should be changed to later? (Or shouldn't it be done, as it isn't 100% sure that it actually will need to be changed.)

I'll keep the bug open. If the problem persists, I will replace SRC_URI content with the Gentoo mirror URL.

Offtopic: If you have a patch to submit, you can always use our bugzie.

Upstream seems dead. I'm curious how long do we have to wait till someone fork ppp.
