Just wanted to give you a heads up. Copying the ebuild to the new version works great! It is just a bugfix release. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Thanks for reporting this, 2.2.14 appears to already be in the main gentoo tree, but requires the ~x86 keyword, and as such is considered still in testing. If you would like the newer version to be stabilized, please either reopen and alter the title of this bug, or file a new bug. Bear in mind that the next version will probably be stabilized after a suitable period of testing anyway. Thanks again... 5:)
Umm, maybe I am doing something really stupid but I went up to packages.gentoo.org and the latest gimp version(2.2 series) was 2.2.12 According to the gimp homepage: http://www.gimp.org/ the latest version(2.2 series again) is 2.2.14
Sorry, you're quite right, that's my eyes playing tricks on me, I misread 2.3.14 for 2.2.14, I do apollogize. I've assigned this to the gimp maintainer for review. Sorry for the inconvenience... 5:(
I confirm that just renaming ebuild works great.
