Description August Hörandl 2007-04-18 07:02:50 UTC
Openoffice 2.2 has:
- new icon set
- new command names, all commands have the 2 at the end removed: oowriter2 is now oowriter, ...

both leaves the use with unusable icons on the desktop

Reproducible: Always

So what do you propose here? That we never change anything cause people might have created their own launchers?

It works from the menu, the rest really is nothing we can take care of, sorry, but I don't see what we can do here / what you propose we should do.
Comment 2 August Hörandl 2007-04-18 17:40:33 UTC
i just expected that a minor update 2.1 to 2.2 doesn't change the names of all the executables and the icons

So you're OWN custom .desktop files broke and it's own fault because?

s/own/our/ but OWN stays the same.
Comment 5 August Hörandl 2007-04-19 21:50:31 UTC
that one way to see it - i see it the other way round: a (minor) update changes (all) the commands supplied by the ebuild

Still as I said, it's not possible for us to guarantee, that nothing ever changes, closing
