The BZR-SVN plugin for Bazaar, one that allows Bazaar to access (and use) Subversion repositories requires Subversion 1.5 (trunk, as of now). A few changes have been patched back into Subversion versions 1.4 and 1.3, and patches are available here: http://bazaar-vcs.org/BzrForeignBranches/Subversion There already exists a working ebuild for Subversion-1.3.2 here. It would be nice to roll these changes into the default Subversion ebuilds, as appropriate. http://students.washington.edu/marklee/bzr/bazaar-overlay/ Without these changes, the bzr-svn plugin cannot work on Gentoo systems. These patches have already been rolled into the builds of Subversion on Ubuntu and Debian, apparently. Reproducible: Always
You still need these patches for 1.4.4? We are not touching stable ebuilds.
Hi, I'm the maintainer of that particular overlay. Yes, bzr-svn will not be able to be supported in the main gentoo ebuild repository until either subversion 1.5 is released, or the patches in my overlay are integrated into a 1.4* ebuild. I've been attempting to keep my subversion ebuild versions in line with the main ebuilds, so patching them shouldn't be very difficult. FYI, the branch is currently hosted/mirrored on Launchpad at <https://launchpad.net/bzr-gentoo-overlay/> as overlay-main.
