Description Johan Johansson 2007-04-17 19:52:17 UTC
!!! Digest verification failed:
!!! /usr/portage/distfiles/915resolution-0.5.3.tar.gz
!!! Reason: Failed on SHA256 verification
!!! Got: a05322550190a9ae34d2be0ab3e2646b551457b2dacf69ac5dcac288c9c8d79a
!!! Expected: b64cab834b5e410bca555dc9db8e69f62f6f02496942f35ff4a68f3f27f1b542

Shouldn't there be a component just for this btw?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
I have 915resolution-0.5.2-r1 installed and then I did
emerge --newuse --deep --update world, but I can't see that it would take more than a simple emerge 915resolution.
Comment 1 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-17 21:45:20 UTC
try to download it again please. The digest is correct as it is.
Comment 2 Johan Johansson 2007-04-17 22:39:00 UTC
I've cleaned out /var/tmp and /usr/portage, resynced and changed mirrors. Still there. Which hash is the correct one? Here's a dump of what I see (followed by emerge --info):

localhost etc # emerge --newuse --update --deep world
Calculating world dependencies... done!

Sorry, I can download from the same mirror and it works for me:
$ wget http://cudlug.cudenver.edu/gentoo/distfiles/915resolution-0.5.3.tar.gz -O /usr/portage/distfiles/915resolution-0.5.3.tar.gz
$ sha256sum /usr/portage/distfiles/915resolution-0.5.3.tar.gz
b64cab834b5e410bca555dc9db8e69f62f6f02496942f35ff4a68f3f27f1b542  915resolution-0.5.3.tar.gz

Please check again with the above commands, mybe your shasum program is broken and you need to remerge pycrypto or something.

How terribly embarrassing and wonderful at the same time. Good call.
