openafs-client is a client for the network-filesystem openafs. It should therefor have a "provide netmount" in its init-script, to enable use of data from afs by daemons. the openafs-kstart utility is needed for that, though (bug 174594) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. have a daemon that uses data from afs that is started on boot 2. openafs-client may be started after that daemon, even if the daemon has use=netmount in its initscript 3. Actual Results: daemon does not start when data is not available Expected Results: openafs-client should be started before the daemon

Putting "provide netmount" in the script is not a correct solution to this problem. Instead, fixing bug #199027 would solve this issue.
Seems to be fixed in sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.11.1, closing.
