Comment 1 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-15 12:12:58 UTC
YOu do not start it like that, please use /usr/bin/googleearth
Comment 2 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-15 15:22:09 UTC
libcurl.so.3 is provided by googleearth, you should use it.
Comment 3 Michele Schiavo 2007-04-15 20:07:45 UTC
from this /usr/bin/googleearth googleheart don't start, just appears the splash screen.
Comment 4 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-15 20:12:52 UTC
cd /opt/googleearth
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:${GOOGLEEARTH_DATA_PATH}:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
./googleearth-bin

what do these lines output in the console?
Comment 5 Michele Schiavo 2007-04-16 11:32:17 UTC
nothing,
just the splash screen and nothing other, 100$ cpu usage :

99%  1.4   0:34.84 googleearth-bin

but i think the problem is from googleearth because i try it from google site, and there's the same problem.
